SERVICES

Fit Swim

For dogs who need to rebuild strength and stamina. Excellent for older dogs who can't exercise as they did when they were younger, as the pool is a no impact, high resistance exercise. We will help your dog increase stamina, strength, confidence, and endurance. We will play with your dog in the pool encouraging fun and interaction in the water. This swim may include a short massage and gentle range of motion stretching.

30 min- 1 hr

Swimming Lessons

It is true most dogs can swim and its usually front legs splashing, hind legs not doing much. We'll teach your dog correct form; core muscles engaged, stroking with all 4 legs. If your dog has never been in the water or is fearful of it we will patiently introduce them to it with the emphasis on feeling safe and secure, before swimming on their own. From there we can work up to intermediate and advanced swimming.

Therapy Swim

Appropriate for dogs with significant mobility issues. (Arthritis, spinal stenosis, degenerative disease, dysplasia, post surgery; once your vet says it's okay) The buoyancy of water reduces stress on joints while the movement, massage and gentle stretching relieves pain and increases mobility. We will closely monitor your dog's progress, rebuilding muscle tone and stamina. This swim may include a long float and a therapeutic massage.

Just like humans, dogs need regular exercise:

Injuries, arthritis, mobility issues, even weight gain make regular exercise difficult for dogs to get their daily steps in. That's where LapdogH2O comes in. We provide a safe and fun atmosphere for all types of dogs to exercise in the weightlessness of water to become healthier, stronger, happier dogs. Aquatic therapy is especially beneficial for dogs that suffer from:

  • Arthritic pain and stiffness
  • Poor circulation
  • Limited join mobility, sprains or breaks
  • Hip and elbow displaysia
  • Post operative challenges
  • Emotional anxiety
  • Overweight
  • Muscle Loss

Reviews

Jill has been a godsend for Tessa, our pup who was hit by a car and had multiple surgeries! Jill is awesome with her, strengthening her legs and giving her better mobility. We are so glad we found Jill and LapdogH2O. Highly recommend!

Jill was wonderful with my boy Oz. She assured him that he was okay and took things slowly. Today on our walk, he had more energy than he's had in a while. We are both looking forward to our next appointment with Jill.

Shelli Dall

Just a big THANK YOU to LapdogH2O for the pain free exercise you've given my dog! I truly believe you've added time to her lifespan, given her much more energy, and helped her arthritis and stiff joints so very much!
